Two nights ago Halloween craziness in Shibuya, Tokyo, a Japanese interpretation of the American celebration. Streets blocked to traffic till the morning, full of mainly young people partying, dancing, flirting, acting, drinking, collapsing. Colorful, noisy, an excuse to be extravagant, to be naughty.
I’ve just returned to my base in Tokyo after two busy months in Greece. I will be focussing again on my work in Japan, ongoing projects and new ones which are about to start.
I will be in Greece until the beginning of September. If anything changes with my schedule, I will update my location info on my blog.
A new project, a collaboration with Japanese photographer Megumi Asaoka started on Thursday. It is about Tsukiji fish market, the largest fish market in the world that has been operating in the Tsukiji area of Tokyo since 1935. The market will be moved to a new location in Toyosu from November 2016. Till then, myself and Megumi want to photograph the last of this famous market in its current location that carries the history of generations of people who have been working there. The combinations of our different views on the market, should create an interesting result.
I post some of the first photos I shot mainly related to tuna, the auctions and shops that sell it:
This blog will publish info on my recent activities and on things I find interesting to share. Please keep visiting!
